Washington Wizards

This has not turned into a good year for the Wizards.  They are one of the worst teams in the their division, in the Eastern Conference, and in the league as a whole.  They are currently at the bottom of the Southeast Division with only 21 wins and 40 losses.

The Washington Wizard’s season started off looking OK as Gilbert Arenas was starting to get back to his all-star form and Antawn Jamison was coming off of the shoulder injury.  The team seemed to go into a head spin as the Gilbert Arenas gun controversy took over the media for a few weeks, eventually ending in him being suspended from the league for the rest of the season for bringing guns into the locker room.

On top of that, the Wizards sent Antawn Jamison over to the Cavaliers before the trade deadline happened.  The players left to carry the team are Andray Blatche, Randy Foy, and Al Thornton, and it doesn’t seem to be enough to make much of a difference.

As far as post season appearances are concerned, you will not be seeing the Washington Wizards this year.  They are at the bottom of the league right now and are more than ten games out of even making the eighth seed.  The best bet for this team is to hope that they get a good lottery and make some desperately needed changes this offseason.  Gilbert Arenas is out for the rest of the year but could possibly return to the team next year.
