Toronto Raptors
The Raptors have been somewhat of a wildcard this season. With players like Chris Bosh, Hedo Turkoglu, DeRozan, Devlin, and Wright they certainly have talent.
At the beginning of the regular season it didn’t seem like the Raptors would make any real statements in the league, but come January February they started to get some momentum and moved up in the Eastern Conference. Bosh was dominating the boards, and had a fired up supporting cast.
The Toronto Raptors are currently second in the Atlantic division with 32 wins and 30 losses, right behind the Boston Celtics. They are sixth overall in the Eastern Conference and are looking to try and retain a playoff spot but will have their work cut out for them since they are neck and neck with the last two seeds in the conference.
The Heat and the Charlotte Bobcats are all within about two games of each other for the six, seven, and eight spots in the East.
The last seven games we have seen Bosh out of games, and we see the difference without him. After having a momentous first couple of months in 2010, they have fallen back to their October/November form. As of late, the Raptors offensive and defensive strengths have seemed to dwindle. They allowed their opponents to shoot over 50% from the floor in six of the last seven games. They played the Lakers on Tuesday and almost pulled off a win against the reigning world champs, only to get beaten at the buzzer by a shot from Kobe Bryant.
