Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings have a really young team, and I mean REALLY young. Two of their starters are rookies, and one of them is the star of the team. Tyreke Evans is all the rage in Sacramento, as he has come into the NBA with a passion and the skill set of a far more experienced player. He averages 20 points a game this season, and just came away with his first Triple Double of his career against the Raptors.
This is also the first time the Kings have had a triple double since Brad Miller did it in 2007. That being said, Tyreke is the only reason the Kings have even won 21 games this season. Without him, they might be down fighting with the New Jersey Nets for the bottom spot in the NBA.
The Sacrament Kings are not without talent, but it just has yet to be organized. They were not expected to do well this season, and they haven’t, but we have been able to see some glimpses of the future of the franchise.
With rookies Evans and Casspi, they have a shot at building a solid team around them and creating a solid organization. Carl Landry and Jason Thompson are also not to be overlooked. Even though they haven’t had a huge impact on the league, they have still been a solid part of the team so far this season.
The Kings are not anywhere close to getting into the playoffs, so if you are a Kings’ fan then you will just have to hope for a better season next year.
