Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns can never be counted out of the playoff race, and they have shown that as they have surged through the past couple of months. Fueled by the confidence of having two Western Conference All-Star Starters last month, Phoenix has clamored back up the playoff ladder.
Steve Nash is looking better in his late thirties than guards almost half his age. Amare Stoudemire is a true power forward, and boasts a jump shot to match. Phoenix has mastered the pick and roll, and has roughed up a lot of the teams in the league. Phoenix is also a dangerous team once you get them running. They are very athletic and they can run you into the ground if you let them.
The Suns trail the Lakers in the Pacific Division with a record of 40-25 and are currently fifth in the Western Conference. They are right in the middle of the playoff battle in the west. All of the eight seeds right now are subject to change places with each passing night. There is only a six or seven game difference between all eight teams. This shows just how competitive the West has been, and it will be interesting to see who finishes it out strong.
The Suns have played well as of late and they even beat the Denver Nuggets on Monday. They just need to make sure that they don’t overplay Nash. He has admitted to being fatigued and in pain in the last few games. They have a little bit of a rest, though, before they have to face off with the Lakers this weekend.
