Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers have had a pretty disappointing season so far.  After making some key changes in the offseason, it seemed that Philadelphia 76ers might have the talent and chemistry to make a good run in the Eastern Conference.  They have fallen far short of that goal.

With only 20 or so games left in the regular season before the playoffs, the Philadelphia 76ers are pretty much out of the race and will probably just hope for a good lottery pick come this summer.  Their current record on the season is 23 wins and 40 losses, and the are third in the Atlantic Division behind the Toronto Raptors.

While there are worse teams in the East, the 76ers have just been a bit of a disappointment this season.  And then there was the whole Allen Iverson pickup late into the season, and his fallout a couple weeks ago for personal reasons.  If their play wasn’t already enough of a headache, Iverson definitely came in and made it worse.

Last week the Sixers finally ended a five game losing streak with a win in Toronto, where Thaddeus Young really stepped up and led the team.   He has been in a funk lately, so if nothing else the Sixers can work on getting Young back to top form over these next few weeks.  Not only that, they need to have some discussions with some of their other key players like Elton Brand and Andre Iguodala, and get some chemistry back into the team.
