Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic are one of the big contenders in the Eastern Conference, as well as one of the better teams in the League.  They are constantly ranked as one of the top five teams in most popular sport’s sites power rankings.  They are currently sitting at 45 wins and 20 losses, and are at the top of the Southeast Division second overall in the Eastern Conference.

They improved their back-court this season with the return of Jameer Nelson and the addition of Vince Carter.  The first half of the season the Magic were still trying to find chemistry in giving Dwight Howard a lot of touches but still allowing Vince Carter to take the ball to the hole when he needs to.  Vince didn’t put up any amazing performances til the first of the year and then showed that he can still take over a ball game when he needs to a put a team away.

This was kind of a wake up call to the rest of the league that Vince is still a threat offensively.  This allows Dwight Howard to dominate the post, put up big numbers, but have a go-to guy when he needs it.

Other than that, the Magic are one of the better defensive teams in the league, with Dwight Howard owning the boards and dishing out his fair share of blocks every single night.  The Magic look to be as good as or better than they were last year and will likely make another deep run in the playoffs if they can keep it up.
