New York Knicks

The New York Knicks have had a pretty disappointing season this year, as have a lot of the teams in the Eastern Conference.  When compared to the Western Conference, the East seems to boast a couple of the best teams, but a lot more of the weaker teams as well.  The Knicks are sitting fourth in the Atlantic Division with a record of 22-41 so far.

They made some interesting moves before the trade deadline in February, dishing out Nate Robinson to the Celtics for Eddie House.

They also acquired Tracy McGrady in a strange three way deal from the Rockets.  McGrady is still getting back into form after an extended absence from basketball because of his knee surgery, but he has shown glimpses of his old All-Star self.  To back up McGrady and House, the Knicks have some great players in David Lee and Al Harrington.

With all of this talent you would expect more than what the team has put out so far.  Just last week they made a statement in the league by losing to the New Jersey Nets (who had only won six games previous to that) and setting a league record of missing all 18 of their attempts from the 3-point line.  Their trades have not seemed to have made much of a positive difference, and have only made them worse if anything.  Look for the Knicks to secure some kind of team chemistry in the next five weeks but don’t expect them anywhere near the playoffs.
