New Jersey Nets
Not a lot to be said about the New Jersey Nets this year, unless of course you want to talk about how embarrassing their season has been. The Nets seem to have some young talent in Brook Lopez, Devin Harris, Courtney Lee, and Yi Jianlian, but have yet to show any of it. Every week, Nets fans are looking to see Devin Harris show up to play and bring out an All-Star game but it’s kind of hard to get motivated when you have only won 7 games on the season and lost 56.
They were on track to tie an NBA record for the least amount of wins in the season until they exploded on the New York Knicks to beat them by twenty points last week. But other than that win, they went thirteen straight weeks at the bottom of the NBA power rankings with nothing to boast about.
The New Jersey Nets are sitting at last place in the Atlantic Division, last place in the Eastern Conference, and last place in the whole NBA. This has not been their year. The team can’t even draw enough fans to fill the lower bowl at most games, even with other superstars from opposing teams coming to visit.
Their best hope is to play out the rest of the season, get the lottery pick, and just start rebuilding. Hopefully then they can start to get back their fan base, and win back the respect of players and fans from all across the League.
