Miami Heat
Ever since winning the NBA Finals a few years back, the Miami Heat have struggled to get back up the level of performance that they were at. The Heat are constantly trying to surround Dwayne Wade with help, but never seem quite able to do so. They picked up Rafer Alston this year, but he has been a total bust and is now on an indefinite leave of absence after choosing not to communicate with the team.
We see sparks of help from Jermaine O’neal, but he just hasn’t been able to get back to the All-Star quality he had as a Pacer. Even with all that said, you can’t take the Miami Heat for granted. Dwayne Wade is one of the best players to play in the league, and he can carry the entire team on his back if he has too. The only problem is that he has had to do that too many times this season to think that they might have a shot at the Finals.
The Miami Heat currently hold the fourth spot in the Southeast Division and the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. They are closely trailed by the Chicago Bulls, and the last four playoff spots in the Eastern Conference are all up for grabs.
This season the Heat have done a little better than expected, but it has been a roller coaster. They have gone on a lot of different win and lose streaks throughout the season, and need to start winning to still be able to make it to the playoffs.
