Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics are an older team, and it is starting to show. With superstars Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce reaching the end of their primes, the only really promising young talent on the team comes in the form of Rajon Rondo.
The Celtics are currently standing at 40 wins and 22 losses, making them the first spot in the Atlantic Division, and holding the third spot overall in the Eastern Conference. The Eastern Conference is not nearly as stacked as the Western Conference this year, so they should be a shoe in for one of the top four seeds in the playoffs.
The Celtics just lost to the Milwaukee Bucks, who are fifth overall in the Eastern Conference and seem to be upsetting other big teams as well (i.e. Cleveland). Previous to the loss to Milwaukee, the Celtics were on a four game winning streak and seem to be getting back some of their old mojo. Boston also made a few trades in February before the deadline by dealing out Eddie House and getting Nate Robinson to be a backup for Rondo. Robinson is a scorer, and the Celtics hope he will bring some energy and some offense to their bench.
Overall, the Boston Celtics are not having a horrible season, but with the superstars that they have accumulated on their team you can’t help but expect so much more. They have been streaky this season, so we will see if they have the juice to make something happen come playoff time.
