Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks have made waves this season and have secured themselves as one of the most athletic teams in the league. They have been able to take on the best teams in the league and win many of those games. They currently sit in the second spot in the Southeast Division, and are currently in the four spot for the Eastern Conference playoffs. Their current record is 40 wins and 23 losses, and they are more than six games up on the fifth spot in the East.
The Hawks look to have solidified a spot in the playoffs as long as they don’t have a complete breakdown in the next five weeks. They have exceeded expectations this year and have had a variety of players that could all be considered All-Stars. Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, and Al Horford have been ripping through teams with their offensive ability and defensive prowess.
Not only that, Jamal Crawford has proven to be a clutch player with a couple of buzzer beaters earlier on in the season. Mike Bibby holds up the back-court and although he doesn’t score as much as the rest of them, he is a solid point guard that is putting up stats every night.
Look for the Hawks to go to the playoffs and have a good run. They currently are in a two game losing streak but this is one of those teams that has been very good at bouncing back from losses and rallying for the next team to come into town.
