Miami Heat face NBA-leading San Antonio Spurs on Friday

The Miami Heat will take on the San Antonio Spurs this weekend. The Spurs will be the home team in this game and that should give them a huge advantage the Spurs have lost just 2 games this season while playing at home.

These teams are among the favorites to win the 2011 NBA Championship with Miami the top favorite at 2-1 and San Antonio right behind at 3-1.

The Heat are coming off of a recent loss against the New York Knicks and they could be susceptible for a bit of a slide. This weekend they will be playing against the Spurs and the Bulls, two of the best teams in the league.

The key in this game will be the guard play of the Spurs. The Spurs do not have the fire power to have their swingmen go up against the swingmen of the Heat, but Tony Parker is a great player and could take over this game. The Heat do not have a point guard that can stick with Parker throughout a game. Look for the Spurs to try to take advantage of this throughout the game.

The Spurs also have a chance to capitalize on the lack of big men for the Heat. The Heat are a solid team, but they are lacking a center that makes a difference throughout the game. Tim Duncan may be able to have a big game if he works hard on the offensive boards.

This game will have a playoff atmosphere as both teams are seen as title contenders. As the playoffs come this will be a good game for one team to get momentum heading into the home stretch.
