In the previous meeting, which was played on November 29, Miami easily won the game 105-94 and pleased the home crowd at the American Airlines Arena. On Saturday, Washington will have the home advantage, by all of the stats indicate that the Wizards‘ chances of winning are slim.

Currently, the Heat is one of the hottest teams in the NBA. In fact, Miami started the month of December with a 9 game winning streak, winning each game by comfortable point margins. The Heat is ranked as the second best team in the Eastern Conference, behind Boston.

Meanwhile, Washington is one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference and in the entire league. The statistics don’t lie, and it is hard to ignore a 6-16 record as of mid December. The Wizards have only won one game this month, barely defeating Portland by four points.

Saturday’s game is a complete mismatch between a star studded team that is cruising and a squad that is struggling to compete. The recent arrival of Lebron James and Chris Bosh has given Miami a real shot of dominating the league and competing for the NBA title. Of course, Miami’s long time star Dwyane Wade continues to perform well.

In fact, James and Wade each average about 24 points a game, making them one of the top scorers in the league. There aren’t too many reasons that would make Miami Coach Spoelstra stressed out on Saturday.
