Boston Celtics, Miami Heat clash on NBA on TNT Thursday

On Thursday, the Miami Heat will host the Boston Celtics at 8 pm on TNT, and the American Airlines Arena will be packed with Heat fans who will have plenty of anticipation for one of the most exciting clashes early on in the 2010-2011 season.

In fact, this will be the second meeting between the teams in the 2010-2011 season. Late in October, the Celtics stood their grounds at the TD Garden and defeated the Heat 88-80. This was the season opening game for both teams.

On Thursday, each team will have something at stake. The Miami Heat is looking forward to gain revenge for the early loss. On the other side, the Celtics are looking forward to prove once again that they are the better team.

The star studded lineup on both teams makes Thursday’s game a very exciting match up. By now, everyone is aware of Heat’s trio that includes newcomers Lebron James and Chris Bosh, and long time team leader Dwyane Wade. Boston’s lineup includes the same players that played in the finals, such as Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce. What adds some spice to this game is Shaquille O’Neal, who left Miami and joined Boston this past summer. It seems that Shaq will get an unpleasant reception at his former home arena.

To get an idea of who is going to win Thursday’s game, it is essential to review the previous meeting. In the last game, Lebron James’ 31 points were not enough to earn his team a victory. Wade struggled and finished with only 13 points, which is below his usual performance. On the Celtics side, there was great teamwork as Paul Pierce had 19 points, Ray Allen had 20 points, Garnett with 10 points, and Shaq had 9 points.
