NBA: Free-agency update
The free agent market in the NBA for the 2010/11 season turned some heads. The sports world watched as King James made up his mind to head to South Beach, thus stirring the pot and upping the ante for the Eastern Conference crown; however, not all is settled. Two
online betting star players still remain in limbo as to where they’ll end up playing: Chris Paul (CP3) and Tracy McGrady (T-Mac).
Paul met with the Hornets organization on July 26th, yet nothing is etched in stone. He has made it clear that he wants play for a contender, or at least for a team headed in that “contender” direction. Contract talks will continue until some sort of deal is hammered out with his current team, or the possibility of being traded still remains on the table. CP3 averaged 18.7 points, 10.7 assists, and 2.1 steals per game last season, making him one of the most valuable point guards in the league. At age 25, any team would love to have him.
McGrady, on the other hand, is talking with the Chicago Bulls. If T-Mac passes his physical and accepts the role of coming off the bench, the Bulls will probably end up signing him. After recently acquiring Carlos Boozer, Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver, and Kurt Thomas, the Bulls have restocked their arsenal with some heady veteran players. Along with Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, T-Mac may be a nice fit as a back-up shooting guard. The windy city may suit him well.
