Los Angeles Lakers vs. Boston Celtics – Game 4 Review

“Big Daddy” is the hero for Boston Celtics in Game 4. He has tied the NBA Finals, 2-2 against the formidable Los Angeles Lakers. In the fourth quarter on Thursday night, enabled the Celtic to edge away from the Lakers and win by a 96-89 margin.

For Boston, Kevin Garnett had 13 points, Paul Pierce scored 19 and Ray Allen bounced back with 12 points. The new Big Three was on the bench for much of the fourth-quarter run that gave Boston the lead for good.

For the Lakers, Pau Gasol had 21 points and Kobe Bryant scored 33. Boston’s starters were back in the game, hitting all three free throws to make it 92-86. Bryant was fouled attempting a 3-pointer with 1:08 left. However, with 32 seconds left, Rondo stole a pass from Bryant and made it an eight-point lead.

In Game 2, Ray Allen had a record eight 3-pointers and then went 0 for 13 from the field in Game 3, made his first basket but then went cold again, missing his next six shots before snapping out of it. From the field, he finished 4 for 11, missing all four 3-pointers, but scored 10 points in the second half.

When Wallace was called for a foul after knocking the ball away from Bryant under the basket, the Celtics led 74-66. Wallace and Kendrick Perkins are one away from a one-game suspension as Wallace argued and drew a technical, his sixth of the playoffs.

In the first quarter alone, from inside 5 feet, the Celtics missed seven shots. Bynum played 11 minutes in the first half but none in the second, as he struggled with a knee injury. In the first half, on free throws, the Celtics were 4 of 8 but made all 11 in the fourth quarter. After making just 41 percent in the first half, they shot 63 percent in the fourth.
