Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics – Game 6 – Match Review

Boston Celtics sealed the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers my winning the series by 4-2. The last game, Game 6 was held at the TD Garden, Boston, MA.

Rajon Rondo had 21 points and 12 assists to beat Cleveland 94-85 and Kevin Garnett scored 22 points and added 12 rebounds in Game 6 and this lead has allowed them to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. Now they will play the Orlando Magic, the undefeated team in the playoffs.

“Winning is gratifying, you’re playing the best team in basketball; the challenge is there; you don’t have to dress it up. One thing we do not lack is confidence. We are a veteran team and we understand when it is time to lock in as a group. I think we did just that. I think the experience is taking over,” said Garnett.

After winning a second MVP award, James is headed for another early offseason. He is leading the Cavs to an NBA-best 61 wins, despite his sixth career playoff triple-double.James matched a career-high and was the most he has ever had in a playoff game and scored 27 points with 10 assists, and his 19 rebounds. The elbow injury might have limited him to dunks and short jumpers, going eight for 21 from the floor overall.

In the first half for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Mo Williams scored 20 of his 22 points whereas for the Boston Celtics, Paul Pierce scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half and shot 1-for-5 — in the first with foul trouble. Rasheed Wallace hit a 3-pointer when the score was 67-61.

Cleveland has finished the regular-season with the No. 1 overall seed and it was the second straight year for them where they have failed to get out of the east. The team lost to Orlando and this left James shaken.

“Obviously, he’s a heck of a talent and a great guy, but right now we just lost the series. I am not thinking of that. It would not be fair to everyone in that locker room to think beyond tonight “said Brown.

There is no guarantee that Cavs’ management will bring Brown back for a sixth season, after a second straight postseason flame out.
