The Road To The NBA Championship – What Are The Odds?
With the NBA season ending, 14 teams will head home for the summer while 16 teams have one goal in mind: an NBA championship.
With the best record in the NBA, the Cleveland Cavaliers are the odds-on favorite to win the championship this year with 9 to 5 odds.
The Los Angeles Lakers look to win back-to-back championships, and have 12 to 5 odds to accomplish that feat.
Losing in the NBA Finals last year and looking for redemption, the Orlando Magic have 13 to 2 odds to bring home the title this year.
The Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks both have 12 to 1 odds of winning it all. Also with 12 to 1 odds is the veteran squad of the Boston Celtics.
Finishing with very close records in the Western Conference, the San Antonio Spurs have 20 to 1 odds to win it, while the Utah Jazz have 21 to 1 odds.
Both the Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks have 25 to 1 odds to lift the championship trophy this year.
The underdogs to win the NBA championship are not to be taken lightly: the Oklahoma City Thunder with 40 to 1 odds, the Portland Trailblazers have 50 to 1 odds, the Miami Heat have 85 to 1 odds, the Charlotte Bobcats and Milwaukee Bucks have 125 to 1 odds, the Toronto Raptors have 150 to 1 odds, and the Chicago Bulls are the underdog to win it all with 200 to 1 odds of winning it all.
