NBA – Phoenix Suns-Denver Nuggets
On Tuesday, two of the NBA‘s best and hottest teams will face each other when the Denver Nuggets visit the Phoenix Suns. This game is especially important because it carries significant playoff implications for each team.
Presently, the Denver Nuggets , with a record of 50 and 27, are 5th in the NBA’s Western Conference. With a playoff position secured, the Nuggets have their eyes on moving up in the conference standings prior to the playoffs. Situated right above the Nuggets are the Suns. The Suns, who are 4th in the conference, have the same record as the Nuggets, but presently own the tie-breaker over the Nuggets because they have a slightly better conference record.
Both the teams are in good position to move up in the conference standings. Ahead of the Nuggets and Suns are the 3rd ranked Dallas Mavericks, 2nd ranked Utah Jazz, and conference leading Los Angeles Lakers. While the Lakers appear to have the regular season conference championship locked up, either the Nuggets or Suns could move up to second in the conference if they finish the season off well. Presently, only a half game separates the 2nd ranked Jazz and 5th ranked Nuggets. With 5 games to play, either the Suns or Nuggets could easily take over the second seed.
This will be the fourth meeting of the season between these two teams. In the previous three meetings, the Suns won two of the games and the Nuggets won one.
