Charlotte vs. Orlando (7:00 pm ET, TNT)
The Charlotte Bobcats lock horns with the Orlando Magic for Game 2 of their first-round NBA Playoff series at the Amway Arena (formerly TD Waterhouse Centre) on ednesday night (7:00 pm ET, TNT). The series betting odds have the Bobcats a +650 underdog and the Magic a -900 favorite.
The Bobcats have a 44-38 SU record, and are 13-28 SU on the road. The Magic are 59-23 SU, and 34-7 SU at home.
Orlando has won 11 of the past 13 games against the Bobcats. The Magic have been there before, and Dwight Howard will lead the team and his play will reflect that. After the All-Star break, the Magic were the hottest team in the league.
They have Howard, a match winner for them supported pretty well by Jameer Nelson, who scored 32 points, Rashard Lewis with 19 points , Mickael Pietrus with 14 points and Vince Carter scoring 12 points. The Magic didn’t officially practice on Monday and most of their players worked out at the team’s facility
The Bobcats lost their first game in their best-of-seven series 98-88, and will definitely try their best to get it to 1-1. This season the Bobcats secured the franchise’s first winning season and created history thereby rewarded with their first ever playoff berth. Bobcats have some good players in their sides namely Gerald Wallace scoring 25 points, Larry Hughes with 6 points, Stephen Jackson with 18 points and Raymond Felton scoring 19 points. Jackson and Gerald Wallace lead the team, combining for almost 40 points per game. Charlotte practiced during both the off days; some may say that they looked for any means of motivation to even out with the Magic in the series.
The point spread for the Game 2 opened with Magic as a -9 point favorite against the Bobcats. Bobcats have to toil hard to pull off an upset against the Magic.
