Cleveland Cavaliers Basketball: Life with Antwan

So the big move of the NBA‘s trade deadline that has everyone talking was between the Cleveland Cavaliers, Washington Wizards, and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Cleveland acquired Antawn Jamison and the Clipper’s point-man Sebastian Telfair, while the Wizards get Zydrunas Ilgauskas, the rights to Emir Preldzic, and Danny Ferry’s first round pick of the 2010 NBA draft, while the Clippers get Drew Gooden from Washington.

It looks as though the Wizards are going to buy out the rest of Zydrunas’s contract and he will re-sign with Cleveland in 30 days time.

Cleveland had been on a 13-game-winning streak previous to the trade deadline. Since the deadline the Cavs are 1-3 SU.

Has this move funked Cleveland’s chemistry to a point of worry? Chances are no, four games is too early to tell. On top of a full week’s rust (Feb. 11th-18th), LeBron and company seem to be coming back around after beating the Hornets 105-95.

Jamison got into the groove with Cleveland’s offense and although he has yet to become part of Cleveland’s so famous pre-game ritual he did have an average showing against the Hornets this past Tuesday going having 18 total points, and 6 rebounds going 7-14 from the field and hitting one deep. It will be only a matter of days till LeBron and Antawn start hooking up for big games and huge victories. So make sure you check out some NBA odds for some prop bets on these newly acquired players.
