Los Angeles Lakers-Philadelphia 76ers: NBA Betting Preview
The L.A. Lakers ought to be able to play very well against the Philadelphia 76ers Friday night.
The truth is that Phil Jackson has his personnel very comfortable with his style of play and his system. This is why they are seemingly on cruise control through most of the regular season. Eddie Jordan simply isn’t able to implement his Princeton offense with the personnel he has.
The Los Angeles Lakers absolutely dominated the Indiana Pacers last night on the road so the only question for me in this game with the 76ers is whether the issue of jet lag will in fact come into play.
There is also a possibility that the Lakers simply could blow off the 76ers given the similar rebuilding phase to the Pacers that the Sixers are currently going through. The question is whether Jordan will have the patience with the current roster or whether the 76ers front office will have the patience to keep Jordan around in an era when NBA coaches get hired and fired so quickly.
The Lakers have won four out of six on the road and Andrew Bynum continues to provide that extra scoring option in the middle to go with both Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant.
It will be interesting how the likes of Samuel Dalembert contends with the ever more aggressive Bynum. This kind of aggression from Bynum certainly could lead to a Los Angeles dynasty. On the other side of the coin there seem to be plenty of trade rumors swirling around several members of the Sixers roster.
